The console for Nightfire enables you to make changes in the
game while playing. To actually input the commands into
the Nightfire Console you need to enable it first, to do this
see below.
How to enable the Console for Nightfire
There are two ways to enable the Console, putting the command
in the autoexec.cfg and editing your Nightfire shortcut.
On your desktop you should have a shortcut to the Nightfire
game. Either make a copy or use the one you have and type the
following " +console 1". It
is Important that a space is left after the " otherwise
it will not work. i.e.
\Nightfire\Bond.exe" +console
1 and not \Nightfire\Bond.exe"+console
1
To bring up this box right click on your Nightfire shortcut
and select properties. At the top of the box choose the shortcut
tab to bring you to this window.
How to activate the Console for Nightfire
Once you have enabled the console you now need to be able to
activate it via a "Hot Key" during
a game. The default key for the console in Nightfire is the ` key
(next to the 1 on your keyboard), but it is not a good idea
to have this key as your Hot Key, so
for this example we will use the F1 key .
To get the console to work you need to make a file called "autoexec.cfg" using
notepad and save it to the Nightfire game "bond" directory
(normally \Program Files\EA Games\Nightfire\bond). Next copy
and paste this into the file.
console 1
bind "F1" "con_toggleconsole"
If your having problems making one you can download a basic
ready made one .
Now start Nightfire and when playing any game press the "F1" key
to open the console! You can use it to do various things in
the game by inputting commands.
This part is the basics and you can add more to it later to
fit your needs, see the scripts
page .
